Our Staff
Dr Phillip Sharman
(Owner Of Practice)
Phil started work at Casino Veterinary Clinic soon after graduating in 1987. At that time it was a 3 vet practice with a 70% reliance on cattle work. Phil spent 2 years in England in 1991 - 1992 working mostly with horses and Dairy cattle in Worcestershire before returning to work with Ross Sillar.

In 1997 Phil filled in as the District Vet for Casino's Rural Lands Protection Board before buying the practice in August of 1998. Along with wife Linda, Phil designed and built the surgery that the practice uses now and it was officially opened in July 2000.

Phil has 2 girls, Evie and Annabelle. Both girls live in Canberra and both work as government advisors. Phil and Linda are very proud of their daughter accomplishments. Phil enjoys following the Queensland Reds and lives in the vain hope that the Wallabies will one day hoist the Bledisloe cup and World cups again. Work wise he mostly enjoys anything to do with cattle and anything surgical. Phil has two Labrador siblings called Pip and Pop who love the water and terrorizing the local lizards.
Dr Jai Gardner
Jai has been with us since March 2023 and graduated from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga in 2020. Jai is a very talented vet but is particularly skilled with horses and horse reproduction. Jai worked in Beaudesert from August 2020 until January 2023 until he decided to move closer to family and join the Casino Vet Clinic team!

Jai will be dividing his time between working with us and helping to manage the family dairy. Jai is pictured with his dog Wilma but his real love is his Border Collie Boots, who is his true number one priority!

Jai lives with his Partner who is also a vet and they live on the family dairy together. Jai thoroughly enjoys playing Rugby Union and played for the Mallanganee Rangers in 2023. Jai enjoys anything adventurous including fishing, camping, motorbike riding and hiking.

Dr Nick Wimble
Nick started with Casino Veterinary Clinic in August 2023. Nick came to us as a student for a short period in 2014 but has luckily returned to us to get back into some large animal medicine. During his years of absence Nick worked as a mixed- animal practitioner in Western Sydney, a surgical-intern at a special referral hospital and a Locum Veterinarian travelling up and down Central and Eastern Australia.
Nick has a very keen interest in emergency and critical care and works at North Coast Emergency Vets in Bangalow on his available weekends. Nick enjoys working cases and is a very talented vet!

In Nicks spare time, you will find him either in the bush, the surf, the gym or running with his partner Amy and their 8 year old Aussie shepherd Zena, pictured to the left.
